This is a warning for anyone considering purchasing a YSS shock absorber as a replacement for the original item. Be advised that there are two versions, the 310mm version for Euro bikes, and the 300mm version for Asian bikes. Unfortunately I was sold the Asian version through a Euro distributor because there was no option available on their site for the Euro version. I only discovered this when I tried to fit the YSS shock. It was 10mm too short.

I contacted YSS direct and they took some steps to correct the situation but there is still a question unresolved about spring length.

If You refer to YSS then You can see only one EU version is available with the 310 shock length. The other three shocks are still 300mm and I do not understand why they are still available on a EU site. The OZ456-310TR-15-85 item is only a very recent addition to the site.

I now have the €869-99 version but with the 310mm length. I will shortly put photos on here plus a review of performance.
